If you knew me personally, have worked with me in the past, or been through one of my Whitetail Hunting Workshops, then you'd know my reputation is at stake and I wouldn't jeopardize that by filling you full of hype and false hope. Someone once told me that; "You can't teach deer hunters anything...... because they think they already know everything!" WOW... that's quite a harsh statement, but the reality is; deer hunter's knowledge and skill varies all over the map and some hunters indeed think they know it all. Some of the "elite few" trophy deer hunters have extensive deer hunting knowledge and hunt success yet they constantly strive to improve their hunting skills. Many deer hunters have years of hunting under their belts but have had little hunt success. Some are comfortable with their lack of success; others want to improve their hunting skills. On the other end of the spectrum, some hunters are just getting started. They want to learn how to deer hunt. Some are fortunate to have a mentor/advisor/coach that has the patience, knowledge and desire to take them under their wing and teach them the basics. Many aspiring hunters aren't so fortunate. They do not have anyone willing to teach them about whitetails and how to hunt. So for these aspiring deer hunters; out of necessity they resort to trial and error; learning everything the hard way.
